During the second sitting of the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address in Parliament on 18 April 2023, NTUC Assistant Secretary-General Patrick Tay shared that more can be done to improve the overall efficacy and adoption of the SkillsFuture Initiative.
He proposed expanding the utilisation of SkillsFuture credits for the engagement of professional career coaches to help “reduce or resolve the psychological barriers to training”, and to also provide Singaporeans with a more comprehensive suite of services to support them in their journey of lifelong personal development.
